About

Bob is a deacon working for the OPC Uganda Mission, stationed in Nakaale, Nakapiripirit District Uganda. He is the construction and maintenance manager for the mission, so he builds and maintains missionary and medical staff housing and vehicles, drills water wells, designs and installs solar water and power systems and runs other projects as necessary. Bob is the husband to Martha and the father to Rachel, Bobby, Anna, Mary and Christiana.

Bob and his family have lived since 2000 in the Karamoja region of Uganda working in support of the church’s desire to plant a self sufficient, self governing and self replicating church among the Karamojong.  The Karamojong are Nilotic semi-pastoralists who have recently (2007) been disarmed.

Bob and Martha are originally from the Philadelphia region and have lived and worked in both Eritrea and Uganda. Martha runs the Karamoja Education Outreach, a basic skills and literacy project. For more information about the ministry in Uganda go to http://www.opum.org or friend us on Facebook.
